Dr. Christopher Hobbs, an esteemed herbalist, mycologist, and author, will be joining International Mountain Trekking’s July 2025 trek into Nepal’s stunning Langtang region. With a Ph.D. in integrative biology and more than 40 years of expertise in the field, Dr. Hobbs is a world-renowned authority on medicinal mushrooms and plants. He has published extensively on the subject and has a deep passion for natural health and healing.
During the trek, Dr. Hobbs will lead interactive workshops, guiding participants through the rich biodiversity of the Langtang Valley, teaching them to identify and use local medicinal plants and fungi. His knowledge and hands-on approach will offer trekkers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and gain a deeper understanding of the therapeutic benefits of the region’s flora, enhancing both their trekking experience and overall wellness.
