Mycologist Shiva Devkota, Ph.D. and Rick Silber, Executive Director International Mountain Trekking, reflect on the first eco-tourism trek to Everest Base Camp — in search of mushrooms. In mid-June, Silber and Devkota led a team of mycologists and citizen-scientists through the Solukhumbu, documenting over 150 mushroom species along the way.
